Know Limits Media – Building EMedia Strategies for Small Businesses
At SmallBusinessGrowing.com we like to occasionally feature other interesting firms that small to medium sized businesses may find helpful to fill specific needs.
One such company to be aware of is Know Limits Media. I recently met co-founder Nancy Williams and learned about some of the capabilities of this certified woman-owned eMedia consulting firm.
Nancy and co-founder Melissa Chambers are working on the leading edge of designing and implementing creative eMedia strategies for their clients. They do everything from helping small businesses get the basics of a digital marketing strategy designed and implemented on through to working with businesses that need serious expertise in getting their knowledge and training activities organized and deployed using the most current technology methods.
I learned from visiting with Nancy that they work both with commercial as well as not-for-profit clients. Where do they begin when working with clients who want to employ technology and social media as part of their next wave of growth? Nancy points out that Know Limits Media is definitely not a “one size fits all” business: “It really all depends on many situational factors. We take a very customized approach. Over the years we have learned that every company we work with has a unique history and culture. We listen very carefully, and then work with our clients to get a solution that really matches where they are, and where they want to get to.”
In addition to helping small businesses get up and running with things like video and social media, Know Limits does a lot in the sphere of designing training activities that utilize video conferencing and web-based learning strategies. “Do you work with very small businesses that are not even sure what they need, but know they need to harness technology to grow the business,” I asked. “You bet” say Nancy, “And it is the greatest thing to see our small business clients get wired and revved up when they see how much a little technology application can do to grow their business. I would encourage every small business owner to take a careful look at how they can improve their bottom line by creative technology solutions. You know, technology has not been a luxury for a long time. It is as necessary as the telephone….and it is a joy to help our clients get to their next level. I think most are surprised to learn that they don’t need to be a techie or a geek to benefit from a new world of marketing. They just need to get started!”
Well said! Let technology be your friend. There is a whole world of growth out there, and small businesses that are stepping out to use technology in fresh ways are planting the seeds of their future success.

Profiles: NOVA Green Media
Marketing for small business has been going through massive changes, but many small business owners are way behind on getting a workable online strategy up and running.
Even the best of businesses are still learning and experimenting, and adjusting as they figure out how their online strategy needs to work and change over time.
But if your business needs to move forward in getting your story out online, there are resources you can tap into for help.
One such resource is NOVA Green Media, an Internet marketing company based in the Northern Virginia area.

Entrepreneur and founder David Harbour has put together a process for telling the world – literally – about your product or service. David and his team will help you produce (or use one you already have) a short video which he will then work some magic on so that it gets broadcast to, at last count, over 80 social media sites across the Internet universe.
A couple things you should know. I hope these will calm any tech concerns you may have:
• You don’t need any tech expertise to do this
• You don’t need to be good with video
What will this do for you? As I see it, this is one easy and very creative way to help grow your business.
It just might also open up a set of other possibilities you had not thought about. It is amazing what connectivity can do for your business.
It would seem that Google likes video. When your video is played in that many Internet locations, it has the potential to rocket search results for your business.
I don’t know of any guarantee that anyone can make about this, but I do know that we recently had one of our real estate business videos worked on by NOVA Green Media and a few days later our search term strength on the terms we used for the video went ballistic!
If it is important for your business to show up on Internet search pages of your key terms, give this company a good look. Their website will give a brief and to the point description of what they do, and you will also find a gallery of examples from businesses they have helped. You can also call David directly at 571 333-9299 to ask any questions and explore possibilities.
From a competitive point of view, here’s the good news: most small businesses are not utilizing the amazing avenues that the Internet provides for sharing their story with the world. If you work with a company like NOVA Green Media you will probably be doing something that your competitors have not done. Indeed, they may not know that something like this exists!
